Communication is one of the key essential elements of strong, healthy relationships, and yet often we hear people talk about how difficult it can be to communicate their ideas and feelings. They tell us how hard it is to truly feel heard.
Communication is 80% listening and 20% speaking.
The Human Craft has developed a “Communication Workshop” that assists participants in discovering the most effective ways to clearly communicate while maintaining their own personal integrity. It stresses the importance of developing the ability to really “Listen” as well as convey thoughts and feelings.
In the Workshop we will cover such topics as:
Choosing the right time to speak. Deciding if I am in the right space to clearly listen. Making the distinction between “Fact” and “Interpretation”. Active listening. Using accountable language. Adapting to another person’s speaking and listening style. Being aware of Non-Verbal clues.
